Elementary A1-A2 English Language Course – Part 1
8-lesson online course
One-to-One Lessons
This course is ideal if you have a basic introductory level of the English language. The course is equivalent to A1 Elementary in the CEFR. If unsure if these lessons are for you, or if you require a complete beginner course, please contact me or book a FREE 10-minute trial.
Pre-requisite
In most cases, you will have some knowledge of the following:
- Phrases for meeting new people and introductions
- My name is …
- Introduction to the verb – to be
- I am, you are, he is
- Positive and negative sentences and questions
- Are you English? No, I am French.
- Numbers
- 1-20, possibly to 100
Course Content
During this course, we will work to attain level A1 Elementary. You will obtain confidence in using simple tenses and phrases and will learn lots of new vocabulary. Lessons are focused on speaking practice. By completion of the course you will be able to discuss your abilities, likes and dislikes. You will have confidence discussing and describing your family.
The course curriculum will include:
- the verb “to be”
- auxiliary verbs
- present simple tense
- present continuous tense
- past simple tense
- “Wh” questions
Time Frame for Completion
As the sole learner on the course, you can schedule the lessons to work with your ability and schedule. You may prefer two lessons a month, two lessons a week or an intensive course of four lessons a week!
Most students opt to complete the course in one month (2 lessons a week) or over 2 months (1 lesson a week). The choice is yours. You will have access to a simple booking calendar to schedule lessons.
Each lesson include optional homework to complete in your own time.
